                 On May 20, 2011 PurringPals is hosting a fundraiser event at
   Deerfield Fine Wines located on Paper Mill Road from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m.
            The event will offer wine tasting and a wide variety of refreshments.
                    There will also be a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
     All are welcome to attend.  There is a suggested $10 donation at the door.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to PurringPals, a feline rescue located in
Newark. PurringPals was founded in 1999 by a Newark resident named Barbara.  The first stray
rescued was named Mr P and he quickly became the mascot and inspiration to rescue more stray
and abandoned cats and kittens.  Next came a stray mother cat and her litter of kittens under a
neighbor's shed.  The rest, as they say, is history!  In the past twelve years over 575 cats and kittens
have been adopted into wonderful homes.
All cats and kittens are tested for FIV/Leuk, spayed/neutered, given age appropriate shots and
the best vet care.  Home fostering provides us with a real understanding of each kitty's
personality and provides them with a loving home environment.  Often the unsung heroes,
foster homes have made it possible to save so many cats and kittens over the years.
Also New London Vet in Newark has been invaluable in working with us to provide the
best care possible every step of the way.
The reality is that this all costs money.  In order to continue our mission of reducing the suffering
of stray and unwanted cats and kittens by providing vet care, spay/neuter and a caring foster
home until their forever home is found we need to raise funds.  We are appealing to you to
please help PurringPals continue with their work in the community.
